Flexible video, Rhino laryngoscope, 11101 HDK. This brief video will focus on pre cleaning at the point of use followed by leak testing and manual reprocessing. The goal is to ensure consistent reprocessing bedside pre cleaning at point of use. Step one wipe the entire exterior of the flexible HD video Rhino Laryngoscope with a soft lint free cloth, moistened with water or with a diluted, mild or neutral ph enzymatic cleaning solution such as enzy. This is to remove gross debris from the exterior of the flexible HD video Rhino Laryngoscope. Step two, inspect the video connector area, removing any visible debris on the external surface with a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe. Step three, carefully place the flexible HD video Rhinal laryngoscope into a covered tray or container and transport the scope to the decontamination area. Ensure the scope is kept protected during transport to avoid damaging the shaft. Do not use, pushing and pulling, movements do not use disinfectants for pre cleaning. These cause fixation of proteins and organic residues. Step five, press the pressure release button on the leakage tester or turn off the automated leak tester to reduce the pressure to zero. Step six, detach the leakage tester from the flexible HD video Rhino laryngoscope and refer to the endoscope. Return instructions for further instructions. Step seven. If the flexible HD video rhinoscope does not leak, remove it from the water bath and press the pressure release button on the leakage tester to release pressure to zero or follow the air pumps manufacturer instructions for releasing pressure from the flexible HD video Rhinal laryngoscope. Step eight. After the pressure drops to zero detach the leakage tester or automated leak tester from the flexible HD video Rhinal Orosco and proceed to manual reprocessing, manual reprocessing. Step one disinfect the cleaning sink or basin according to your health care facility's recommended method. Step two. After disinfecting rinse the sink or basin thoroughly with water to remove all of the disinfectant chemicals. Step three, prepare the diluted, mild or neutral ph enzymatic cleaning solution in the sink or basin. Step four, immerse the flexible HD video Rhino laryngoscope completely in the enzymatic cleaning solution. Step five, while the scope is immersed, use a soft lint free cloth to clean the exterior of the entire flexible HD video rhinal laryngoscope at least once if visible debris remains, continue wiping until no debris is visible. Step six, use the soft flat cleaning brush to brush the exterior surfaces of the flexible HD video Rhino Laryngoscope handle including the interface areas between the deflection lever and handle at least three times if visible debris remains continue brushing until no debris is visible. Step seven, keep the flexible HD video Rhinal laryngoscope immersed per the manufacturer's recommended contact time. Step eight. Remove the flexible HD video Rhino laryngoscope from the cleaning solution. Step nine, discard all disposable cleaning accessories and use new accessories for water rinsing water rinsing. Step one disinfect the sink or basin to be used for rinsing according to your health care facility's recommended method. Step two. After disinfecting rinse the sink or basin thoroughly with water to remove all of the disinfectant chemicals. Step three, fill the sink with at least 10 L or 2.6 gallons of room temperature tap water to ensure there is enough rinse water to completely immerse the scope. Step four, immerse the scope in the water. Step five, wipe the exterior of the entire flexible HD video rhinal laryngoscope thoroughly with a fresh soft lint free cloth at least once. Step six, discard the water and repeat steps three through five with fresh water for a minimum of two complete rinses drying. Step one, remove the flexible HD video Rhino laryngoscope from the sink or basin and place it on a clean or disinfected surface. Step two dry the exterior of the flexible HD video Rhino Laryngoscope with a new soft lint free cloth. Step three, discard the water and all cleaning accessories. Caution do not use compressed air greater than five P si to dry the flexible video endoscope inspection step one, visually inspect the flexible HD video Rhino Laryngoscope for cleanliness, completeness damage and dryness. Step two. If residues or contamination are still present, the device must be manually cleaned and subjected to a full cleaning procedure. Once more clean, the distal lens with a cotton tip, applicator soaked in lens, cleaner or 70% isopropyl alcohol. When cleaning the distal lens always wipe with a circular motion. Step three, damaged or corroded devices must be withdrawn from use. Step four, if there is still residual moisture on or in the video endoscope, it must be dried again manually.
